Cookie Policy

1. Cookies and Pixel Tags

The following describes how Nordic Drugs AB (“us” or “we”) uses certain technologies that collect information about visits to and use of our websites (each referred to as “the Website”).

2. Cookies

2.1 The Website uses “cookies”. Cookies are small text files that a website stores or accesses on a visitor’s computer or mobile device. Cookies and similar technologies enable the website to remember a visitor when he or she visits the site from the same device and can be used to enable a variety of different features on the site such as saving searches and customising the site’s contents after the visitor’s previous use of the site.

2.2 We use cookies to distinguish you from other visitors to the Website. This helps us to provide you with as good an experience of the Website as possible, as well as enabling us to improve the Website.

2.3 There are two types of cookies: 1) persistent cookies which remain on the visitor’s computer for a specified period of time and 2) session cookies which are stored temporarily in the computer memory while a visitor is browsing a page. Session cookies disappear when you close your browser.

3. Pixel Tags

3.1 In addition to cookies, we also use so-called “Pixel Tags”, “web beacons”, “JavaScript” or similar technologies which enable us to carry out such tasks as tracking your activity when you use the Website or receive e-mail messages, (collectively referred to as “Pixel Tags”). Pixel Tags may be used in connection with our websites, our online advertising or our e-mail messages, either by us or by our suppliers, business partners or other third parties.

3.2 Pixel Tags are typically used to collect anonymous data to identify certain information, for example to compile reports of tracking information regarding demographics, movements and purchases by users of the Website, as well as other information to improve the user experience and our services. We may disclose these reports to advertisers, for example. The tracking information in these reports cannot be associated with the identity of an individual user or other personal data. We may link tracking information to personal data that is voluntarily provided by the users of the Website in order to analyse the information. When such a link is made, all the linked information is processed as personal data and is used and disclosed only in accordance with the provisions of our personal data policy.

3.3 We can use Pixel Tags in our HTML-based e-mail messages to see what e-mail messages the recipients have opened.

3.4 Pixel Tags can also be used to identify why you are visiting the Website, for example whether one of our advertisements or e-mail messages was a contributing factor.

3.5 Furthermore, some Pixel Tags may be used by other companies to track visits to their websites in order to identify whether their Internet traffic came from the Website or to confirm that you are authorised to receive their services or benefits.

4. The Website’s cookies and Pixel Tags

4.1 Please note that necessary cookies and Pixel Tags are processed when you use our services and visit our Website. The optional cookies and Pixel Tags are processed only if you have consented to it. If you do not accept the use of cookies, you can turn off cookies in your browser’s security settings. You can also set your browser so that you will be asked each time the Website attempts to set a cookie on your computer. Previously stored cookies can also be deleted through the browser. See your browser’s help pages for more information. Furthermore, you can delete cookies manually from your hard drive at any time.

4.2 Please note that if you choose not to accept cookies, functionality may be restricted on certain web pages.

4.3 Third-party cookies or Pixel Tags may also collect information about the activities that a user engages in on the Website over time and on other websites.

4.4 The Website uses Google Analytics, which uses cookies and other similar technologies (such as Pixel Tags) to collect information about anonymised website usage and reports trends without identifying individual visitors. To learn more about Google Analytics, including how you can opt out, please visit https://tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout.

4.5 We also engage third-party companies to advertise goods and services that may be of interest to you when you use the Website and other websites. Such advertisements are based on information about how you use the Website and other websites. To accomplish this, these companies may set or recognise a unique cookie in your browser (including through the use of Pixel Tags). If you want to know more about this technology, please visit www.networkadvertising.org and www.aboutads.info.
